The Turin Giants Name Ex- Azzurri Boss the Experienced Gaffer

Juventus have appointed ex- Italian national team head coach the veteran manager to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.

The experienced coach takes over from his predecessor, who was let go post the Lazio setback recently.

The former boss came on board in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
